Hideout Festival 2012
Hideout Festival Croatia made its spectacular debut this summer – a beachside event in a stunning and unique location.
The first-time event was a complete sell-out and made an outstanding entrance onto the summer festival scene. Feedback from attendees, artists and clubbing partners has been phenomenal and within days of Hideout 2011 having ended, talk of Hideout 2012 begun.
We are very excited to be currently putting the wheels in motion, preparing to bring you an exceptional Hideout 2012 and can reveal it is already set to be even more phenomenal than the last.
Due to extreme popularity and demand, we’re thrilled to announce that capacity is being increased for next year’s event, so even more of you will be able to have the Hideout experience. We’ve added a fourth venue – in addition to Papaya, Aquarius 1 and Aquarius 2, which proved to be hugely successful venues last year, we’re now going to be adding Kalypso into the mix.
Kalypso is Zcre beaches most infamous night club, right next to the sea and surrounded by palm trees, this exotic venue is going to add a brand new, exciting dimension to Hideout 2012!
To accommodate the extra capacity, as well as having secured even more apartments in the town of Novaljia and surrounding areas – just down the road from the action and right near all the bars, pubs, restaurants and all-important beach – we’re this time around introducing the option to camp right next to the beach, with a stunning mountain back drop to the camp site.
Better
Some of your favourite DJ’s from last year will be returning – including Annie Mac, Andy C and Jamie Jones who will both be playing back to back on the main stage – whilst we’re also introducing some new huge acts into the mix. Absolute legends such as Ricardo Villalobos, Four Tet & Caribou, Claude Von Stroke, Skrillex, Skream and Brodinski are going to be joining the line-up next year, ensuring an even more outstanding programme than before.
We are bringing back clubbing partners Mono Cult, Jaunt, Drop the Mustard, Urban Nerds, Sonido and Just Jack, who were hugely popular last year, and we’re ecstatic to be introducing some all-new affiliations; Mulletover and Birmingham’s Face.
Like that wasn’t enough to have your feet twitching in anticipation, we are happy to share that Hideout 2012 will be bringing you an even bigger programme…
Hideout Festival 2012 will take place across the four venues, from Friday 29th June to Sunday 1st July. However, to continue in the excitement for next year’s event, we are cranking it up several notches and will this time be hosting an entire week of events, from Tuesday 26th June right up until to the early hours of Monday 2nd July! Plus stay alert for updates and ticket information on the secret location parties we’re going to be hosting around the island.
Hideout 2012
Not for the faint-hearted, Hideout 2012 will once again combine the stamina of a beach holiday with the intense euphoria of the most turbo charged electronic festival, and we cannot wait!

Room 1:
Annie Mac
The BBC's powerhouse dance-music pioneer n, Annie Mac never fails to burn up the dancefloor with her cutting-edge DJ sets. Her main show, Annie Mac's Mash Up, on Friday nights is renowned for playing a new eclectic and underground mix of new musical genres such as electro, dubstep, dnb, hip-hop, and disco.
Damian Lazarus
Since the moment he spun his first record, Damian Lazarus’s mission has been a clear and urgent one: to blow away the mediocre, the over-inflated, the obsolete; to seek out and celebrate the energetic, the important, the new. Always rebelling, always going places. Damian Lazarus is a believer in giving people something exciting, unusual and idiosyncratic. He lives life to the limit, always rebelling, always moving forward.
Jamie Jones
Jamie Jones has achieved in the space of a few short years what many producers try for a lifetime. Turning his hand to a variety of styles while still maintaining a strong signature sound, Jones has created an admired musical identity and a loyal global following. He was picked as RA’s #1 DJ in the world in 2011 and with massive releases on Crosstown Rebels plus his own Hot Creations imprint he is now cemented in the DJ elite.
Jack Beats
The brainchild of Beni G (Mixologists) and Plus One (Scratch Perverts), Jack Beats represent part of the new wave of British house music. Wobbly basslines, big breakdowns and edgy accapella’s are cut, copied and pasted together to create a floor-filling brand of house.
Kyle Hall
Kyle Hall has been actively involved in Detroit’s house music scene since age 11, when local legend DJ Raybone Jones taught him how to spin records. With releases on labels as diverse as Warp, Clone Records, Hyper Dub and Objektivity it is clear that Hall is not simply a Detroit hometown hero, but an internationally renowned producer with a bright future ahead of him.
Julio Bashmore
Since his eponymous debut EP on Claude Von Stroke’s Dirtybird label back in 2009, Bristol’s Julio Bashmore has won many fans of his stylish fusion of classic deep house, broken beat, UK Garage and techno. Tracks such as Footsteppin’, Batak Groove and 2011’s heavily rotated ‘Battle For Middle You’ were hugely popular amongst his contemporaries and the rest of the scene, not to mention the 2012 festival anthem "Au Seve" out on his very own Broadwalk imprint. He recently secured himself a slot on BBC Radio 1’s ‘In New DJs We Trust’.
Richy Ahmed
Richy Ahmed, Hot Natured resident and part of the Hot Creations inner circle originally hails from Newcastle. Armed with uniquely individual sound that fuses the energy of house and disco with infectious funk-inspired grooves and a touch of sullen mystery, his style has a distinct edge that’s impossible to pinpoint.
Erol Alkan
Erol Alkan has lent his Midas touch to every carefully undertaken project since the early 1990’s, from infamous club night Trash, fabled residencies including Bugged Out, and a dizzying production rosta including his own aliases, “Mustapha 3000” Phantasy Label and “Beyond the Wizards Sleeve”, also producing for some of the hottest talent around. Erol has since found another outlet for his desire to share his favourite music via the radio station BBC 6 Music, where his succession of 6 Mixes initiated listeners into all kinds of brilliant music. Erol’s eternal mission to create and sustain the excitement only great records can provide means scouring shops and submerging himself into the tidal wave of music he gets sent, in the hope – usually realised – that he’ll dig out an amazing tune no-one else knows about.
Four Tet
Four Tet is the electronic outlet for the solo work of Keiran Hebden. Hebden’s solo work typically utilises samples lifted from various sources including hip-hop, electronica, techno, jazz, and folk mixed with his own guitar playing. Hebden’s music is notable for its rich, organic sounds and harmonious melodies as well as for eschewing the traditional pop-song format in favour of a more abstract approach.
Caribou
Caribou is Canadian Dan Snaith (b 1978) previously registered by the acronym Manitoba Known to change his sound with each subsequent release he fitted with electronic rhythms, psychedelic krautrock and breakbeat drums and creates a swirling lush musical panorama. his eclectic live shows are known in part for their use of simultaneous drummers and synchronized visual live band currently consists of Dan Snaith (guitar, keyboards vocals drums flutophone) Ryan Smith (guitar keyboards) Brad Weber (drums) and John Schmersal (bass vocals).
Heidi
Throughout the last few years Heidi has played the world’s best clubs including Fabric, Panoramabar, Womb, Space Ibiza, with residencies at Watergate and Monza, having played on every continent except Antarctica in 2009 alone. The Radio 1 DJ launched her own travelling club event series called The Jackathon which has hosted some of the biggest names in EDM.
Robert James
Robert James is one of a new breed of artists that hail from the city of Leeds, the UK's second key stronghold of underground house and techno outside of London. While he made his name DJing around the city and in Ibiza his career exploded exponentially during last summer when his debut release ‘Sleep Moods’ was released on Jamie Jones and Lee Foss’ Hot Creations label.
