Trilogy Pt.3

Trilogy Pt.3
The final part of the Trilogy is proud to welcome the legend that is Erol Alkan alongside Chase & Status who will all be appearing on a line-up that also features the likes of Rusko and Hudson Mohawke among many others. Taking place on Saturday, 26th November 2011, once again at the Leeds University Union Complex, Trilogy III will also feature Citizen, Loadstar, Roska & Jamie George, Sigma, TC and a live set from TEED. After a long break away from the stages of Leeds University Union, we are proud to announce the return of Chase and Status to the decks! Founder of the famous Trash night in London, Erol Alkan has been the stuff of legend almost from the first moment he sneaked out of the window of his parents flat aged 12 to play gigs for a tenner. Whether he's playing the latest in hardcore thrash or producing delicate anthems of spectral beauty, one thing's for sure; music, truly fertile music, is never very far from Erol Alkan. Both tipped for big things in 2012, Breakage and Jess Mills are two to watch in the final installation of Trilogy.

Room 1:

Chase & Status Dj Set

Chase & Status Dj Set

Chase & Status earned their stripes with a few early singles and their debut album ‘More Than Alot’ winning a 2009 Drum and Bass Award for best album. From there, Milton and Kennard dipped their toes into more pop-oriented production; "End Credits," a 2009 single featuring Plan B, entered the U.K. Top Ten and led to the 2011 album No More Idols, which featured collaborations with Dizzee Rascal, Tinie Tempah, and Cee-Lo Green.

Breakage

Breakage

Breakage aka James Boyle is never been one to be pigeonholed. Moving effortlessly through styles from drum and bass to dubstep, Breakage has proved himself to be one of the most versatile operators in either scene to date. A prodigious talent, he already has a number of classic releases under his belt but continues to develop his sound. Combining rich tones and a sense of spaciousness in the mix, Breakage’s music is both subtle yet devastatingly effective.

Citizen

Citizen

Citizen's innovative sounds co-incide with the ever changing face of music - and with combined personal loves in a variety of genres from Dubstep to Drum and Bass, Pop to Hip Hop, you can see elements of each creeping into in their music.

Doorly

Doorly

Doorly shows us why, in an era when it seems every DJ shows up to gigs carrying something smaller than a kid’s lunchbox, he is the exception to this rule. With a critically acclaimed EP on Wax:On Music and a series of official & major label remixes for artists including Dizzee Rascal, Basement Jaxx, Calvin Harris and more, nothing can stand in this mans way right now.

Erol Alkan

Erol Alkan

Erol Alkan has lent his Midas touch to every carefully undertaken project since the early 1990’s, from infamous club night Trash, fabled residencies including Bugged Out, and a dizzying production rosta including his own aliases, “Mustapha 3000” Phantasy Label and “Beyond the Wizards Sleeve”, also producing for some of the hottest talent around.

Hudson Mohawke

Hudson Mohawke

Making his 1st mix tapes at 10, beats on a Playstation at 12 and U.K. DMC finalist at 14, this precocious 23 year old has wasted no time in translating those skills into proper productions which might just see him becoming the first Glaswegian to command the airwaves currently reserved for Drake, Jeremih and Jordin Sparks.

Loadstar

Loadstar

Loadstar: While remainging drum and bass' dancefloors darlings Loadstar are developing into a formidable production team. 2011 promises to propel them into the same league as Ram stablemates Sub Focus and Chase and Status. Zane Lowe recently called them ‘superstars in the making’. Watch it happen.

Roska

Roska

Real name Wayne Goodlitt, Roska has become one of the true success stories of the UK funky scene, unleashing a flurry of raw and percussive singles and a debut LP over the last two years and managing to gain a wide base of international support in the process. While Roska has been firmly stamped as UK Funky, his sound flirts with a variety of genres incorporating elements of Electro, House, Garage and Dubstep.

Rusko

Rusko

The prolific and energetic Rusko. With his fun approach to the dubstep massive whose adventurous sound brought him the delicious hit “Cockney Thug". Now part of the Mad Decent Camp with collaborations on the horizon with the likes of Switch, Diplo , Santigold, Trouble Andrew, Hot Chip and more…the future sure is looking bright. Currently setting the radio airwaves alight with his own productions and remixes of artists such as The Prodigy, Basement Jaxx, Little Boots and plenty more..

Sigma

Sigma

Sigma aka Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie have been household names in the drum and bass scene since 2007. They’ve had early releases on Charge and Viper recordings before creating their own record label Life Recordings in 2009 as well as being awarded Best Breakthrough DJ’s at the Drum and Bass awards. They kicked off 2010 with The Stand Tall EP, four tracks of diversity and quality; they’ve done nothing but progress and have had support from the likes of Andy C, Goldie, Original Sin and DJ Fresh.

TC

TC

At 16 years old TC dropped out of school, bought a sampler and an Atari ST and started making beats, he is now touring the world as a highly respected DJ, producer and vocalist. More than just a producer TC tours in the UK, Europe and America as both a feature DJ and as a Vocalist with his live band, with which he recently recorded at the BBC's legendary Maida Vale Studios for the BBC Radio 1 Drum and Bass Show. TC has also appeared as a guest vocalist on Pendulum's 'Hold Your Colour' album and on the new Subfocus track 'Follow The Light'.

Teed

Teed

Live Originally hailing from the Greco-Roman stable, TEED has released three EPs with the Berlin and London party-starters. They are all superbly executed cross-sections of electronic mayhem. As Orlando explains, “It goes from 124 bpm to 140 bpm. It crosses lots of genres and sub-genres of dance music, and I don’t really know or care about all these genres, I think they’re a bit useless and unnecessary. It’s just dance music at the end of the day.”
