Wax:On at Papaya, Zrce Beach
After working alongside the guys at Papaya at our very own Hideout Festival it became clear that our relationship together really was something quite beautiful, so we’ve taken things up a gear and have collaborated on a programme of events this summer drawing together the sounds of the UK nightclubs with that of the Croatian dancefloors. We’re bringing some of our most loved artists to the table such as Simian Mobile Disco, Guy Gerber, and Aeroplane with the Croatian infusion of sounds coming from the likes of Joris Voorn, Crookers and Riva Starr with a little help from three of our favourite promoters Circus, Chibuku & Jaunt.
For any of you who missed out on a Hideout Festival ticket this year, here’s another way to get yourself over to the beautiful town of Novalja and party on the stunning Zrce beach with thousands of other music revelers. Host to legendary club nights and supercharged summer days of sun, fun, beach parties and chill out’s, Zrce Beach is fast becoming a close competitor for Ibiza’s sandy shores. Any sane person would fancy a piece of that action!
Bringing together clubbers worldwide for the shared love of music is the aim, so if that’s something that sounds right up your chassis, then head over to our website now for more information.

Room 1: Wax:On presents Simian Mobile Disco - 18th July
Simian Mobile Disco
Simian Mobile Disco is an English production and remix team. Formed from the ashes of Simian in 2005 its members are James Ford and Jas Shaw. In addition to his work with Simian Mobile Disco, James Ford is a producer and has worked for bands such as the Arctic Monkeys, Peaches and Klaxons.
Riva Starr
Riva Starr couldn’t be hotter right now. Stefano Miele - aka Riva Starr - has smashed out of the blogosphere with his unique patchwork of styles, swiftly establishing himself as one of the most unique and recognisable producer / DJ today. Riva – with his love for re-inventing any music that inspires him – has coined the term “Snatch!” to describe his very personal bootleg remix technique, snatching and pick-pocketing any music style and making it his own. Also known as “Mezcla” - the Spanish word for blending or fusion - Riva’s music moves from mood to mood, genre to genre, but always leaving his cheeky, wobbly footprint. His eclectic love of contrasting sounds reverberate..
Eskimo Twins
Since meeting at university in Leeds, these two friends have shared their passion for music. After graduating, the pair immersed themselves in the city's clubbing and live music scene and began to make music together. After agreeing on their mutual appreciation of Techno, Classic House, Indie, Acid, Electro, and their lingering teenage love of Metal; the Twins busied themselves with tweaking and crafting a dark electronic sound, inter-mangled with their penchant for twisted pop sensibilities.
Room 2: Wax:On presents Aeroplane - 18th August
Aeroplane
Now a one man operation, Aeroplane is dedicated to elevating its fans toward a higher musical space undefined by standardized genres. Freedom from constraints of predictability, weaving psychedelic guitars, pop keys, disco beats, catchy bass lines and melancholic waves into a singular connection of modern beat-driven music.
Nic Fanciulli
Nic Fanciulli is a DJ, producer and label owner who has remained one of the UK’s finest exports in electronic music throughout the last decade. A Grammy nominated producer, Nic has worked with artists as diverse as Underworld, Kylie Minogue, U.N.K.L.E, Loco Dice, Josh Wink and Tracey Thorn in addition to producing a plethora of solo club focused tracks that have achieved both critical and commercial acclaim. Now releasing on the likes of Rejected and Souvenir, Nic is responsible for a high output of a sleek, intelligent yet driving strain of house and techno.
People Get Real
Since 2002 Simon Lister and Peter Wilson aka People Get Real have been consistently and thoroughly bringing their brand of dance-floor terrorism to parties in their native Newcastle, across the UK and beyond. 2011 also saw them launch their own “Join Our Club” imprint, which has seen them release not only their own productions but also from It’s a Fine Line, Tom Ellis, Eskimo Twins and more.
