Q: What were you doing this time yesterday?

A: Sleepin the BA lounge at heathrow waitin to go to germany tryin to make a beat while taking a shower

Q: Your touring schedule is always crazy! Is there anywhere that stands out
as an amazing gig to play, year in, year out?

A: Well im not really caught up in the same cycle of parties and stuff, i seem to always end up in places where im like.. w.t.f. am i doin here? this year Kingston and havana have been really unexpected. an the block party in philly
at the mad decent home base is pretty special and redbull carnival too! have u
seen that? crazy as fuck!

Q: How did the Mad Decent concept arise, what propelled you to set up the
label and how did you come up with the name?

A: It’s just a philly thing really.. is what a lot of the kids say when i was there teachin high shool still.. .. there a grey scale - decent is great and corny is the lowest u can go.. but it all started as a home base for the music me and my crew were doin, crazy unique.. sometimes hard to put in the right
categories.. but now i think we have been doin it solid for 3 years and i
think kids know what to expect when we put out a new release..

Q: We love the new Rusko O.M.G album, tell us your thoughts on one of the
UK’s hottest exports?

A: Rusko for me was comin out of the excitement of the dubstep scene but he was always bigger then dubstep .. he was a sort of kid with huge ideas.. once we got his plan .. moving to LA and workin on breaking the sound in the USA. We were behind it 100 percent.. also hes fucking certified insane .. so he fits
right in with our crew

Q: At lat year¹s Wax:On Leeds in May, yourself, Erol Alkan and Boys Noize
went three ways on the decks to finish the show and it was amazing, what

other similar experiences have made a lasting impression on you?

A: I think just breaking up sets and collaborating with people u wouldnt expect
is always mad and really pushing the boundries.. if i remember i played some
disco and boyz noise played dubstep and in all it was unexpected.. i always
knew erol was a tastemaker and he played records that surprised me every
party.. he used to rip it in the london parties. .   anytime i can play with
someone i have mutual respect for. is time i really try to show off and might

do something really good (most times im just fuckin up!)

Q:What can you not live without on tour?

A: Food an water
